Silica Gel Indicating
It provides a rapid detection method by changing color as it absorbs moisture and eventually saturates. This is mainly used in absorbing moisture from gas and air.
Blue to Pink
Silica gel blue is an option for controlling moisture which contains cobalt chloride in it. When silica gel absorbs moisture, its beads color change from blue to purple to pink, this indicates that the gel needs to be replaced or regenerated. The reason behind is cobalt chloride. The creation and removal of blue silica gel are difficult because cobalt chloride is toxic. Blue silica gel is also available in crystals forms which absorb approximately 8 percent of its weight in water. It is DMF free, non-corrosive, non-toxic, odorless and tasteless.
Self-indicating silica gel is non-hazardous and indicating type, we can identify silica gel being full of moisture which can absorb a big amount of water from the internal surface area. Silica gel controls many substances including aromatics, HC1, and CO2 without reacting other substances and destroying toxicity. It consistent change shape and size of silica gel desiccant.
Silica gel orange changes its color to dark green to black while absorbing moisture and gain weight of about 40 %. It’s a non-toxic, pollution-free desiccant that can be used as an environmentally safe desiccant. There are much application needs to use adsorbents like breather transformers process, leather products packaging, paper, and cardboard packaging, computer and electronic parts packaging, pharmaceuticals diagnostic kits packaging and many more.
